This is a lovely village called "MAIKAMMER". The wine of this area is so good. It makes the people happy. What a wonderful picture you have taken, Philip! I love it.

I ordered this bag to be used by my very handsome 84 year old gentleman friend when he goes to water aerobics with me everyday, He grew up in Harvey Illinois as the oldest of five children in a economically challenged family. There were no books in his home and he was thrilled to find a public library where they let you borrow books to take home and read. It was the start of a lifetime of the love of reading and learning and the pathway for financial success. Thank you William Brody for creating this painting.

Artist's Description

This art was created in 2007. It is a companion piece to my Then and Now. ARTIST NOTE: This work is of course inspired by my love for Japanese wood block prints. I remember reading Shogun for the first time and learning of The Willow World. That book and the traditional Japanese wood blocks were the inspiration for this print. - JB I also have a square version of this art. If you wish to see it, go to the Square Art Gallery that applies to this art. I have tried to keep the same feeling in the square version as the rectangular piece has. The Fine Art America watermark logo will not appear on the print that you order. The rights for reproductions of this print as well as the original art are solely that of the artist (John Robert Beck) and all copyright laws apply (Copyright John Robert Beck).

About John Beck

John Beck

My work is about the beauty of how forms work with each other, very similar to classical music. My work is free form, yet structured. The use of color, shapes and form blend with each other to give what I think are some remarkable effects. Each of my works evolves through many stages. Like an orchestral work, I create different elements on layers (like the different instruments in an orchestra). These layers overlap, some being transparent, some bold and bright. As I create, I tweak each aspect of the art until I am satisfied with the finished product. I look at myself as a conductor when I bring each element in and out of the overall work to create vibrant musical color. I have had many requests to have my art in square...
