Winter sunlight slants across the snow-covered dunes at Presque Isle State Park, illuminating the historic brick lighthouse on Lake Erie. This piece was done in soft pastel on sanded board.
About Michael Camp
E. Michael Camp is an artist who works in the general field of "impressionism." His art draws inspiration from the masters of the field, such as Monet, Degas, and Renoir, who sought to express emotion and the effects of light and atmosphere in their art. Michael has studied painting with noted artist Andrew Sanders, and also studied art at the college level. Most of his paintings depict the varied landscape near his home in northwestern Pennsylvania, although they have a universal appeal to lovers of impressionist art. Michael is a member of the Northwest Pennsylvania Artists Association and the Presque Isle Artists Association. He has exhibited his work in numerous shows, and has sold paintings to many local and international...
