This wildlife sculpture in bronze expresses my joy in every detail of the wild flowers and insects I have studied and drawn from life since I was a kid growing up in the log cabin my family built in the rough Snowy Range foothills of Wyoming. The set comes in a variety of patinas (finishes) and prices. It includes two pitchers (each with different designs), a vase with lid, box with lid, and a tray. Included are: the Wyoming Wildflowers (pitcher), the Rocky Mountain Summer (pitcher), Among the Sagebrush (vase with lid), In the Draw (box with lid) and From the Foothills (tray). The pieces are also available individually. See individual pieces in this gallery. For prices and other information, please contact the artist. The pitchers are about 6 inches tall.
I have been an artist since I was knee high to a short-horned locust. My dad, Willoughby Senior (FAA) was a professional artist and writer and I have stepped in his shoes since I was born, though he drew horses better than I did when I was a kid. My family lived in a hand-hewn log cabin we built ourselves in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had no water or electricity. I love my life with my husband and family in Wyoming among the horses, gophers, deer, antelope, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and the wild landscape. My work is driven by the land, animals, wild plants and birds I have come to know so well. Hummingbirds still try to get nectar from my upturned fingers. My artwork consists of all these things and more...
