Zabriskie Point is a part of the Amargosa Range located east of Death Valley in Death Valley National Park, California, known for its erosional landscape. It is composed of sediments from the Furnace Creek Lake which dried up nearly five million years prior to Death Valley's existence. This point was named after Christian Zabriskie who was vice-president and general manager of the then Pacific Coast Borax Company back in the early 20th century. The company's famous twenty mule teams were the power needed to transport borax from the mining operation located in Death Valley. Death Valley is an area of contrasts, colors and shapes, not to be missed by visitors, hikers, campers and photographers of all levels.
