Van Sprang was born in Suriname, raised in Amsterdam, and settled in Australia, where her artistic talents saw her embrace a career in interior design, and as a director of her own design manufacturing company. Painting and photography were always a passion, and the love of technology allowed a fusion of modalities to develop into SAtART-or satellite art. Van Sprang uses 4 computers connected to NASA satellites, to capture,manipulate,and handcolour her images, and her passion for the art has been appreciated by students of the arts and GIS technology, throughout the world.
