Simply existing near a road or beside the road doesn't make something 'roadside.' Here in the roadside group we have keen eyes for those things that tempt us from the highways and byways to pause, examine and appreciate in all their splendor, horror, or eccentricities. This is a group devoted to roadside - gas stations, tourist traps, roadside art & signs, unusual architecture, diners and dive bars, discoveries made alongside the road that make you stop, take a detour, and get out of the car to explore as well as the things that make you want to grab your suitcase and throw it in the car to take a road trip. We aren't interested in what's on the road, rather those things that peak our curiosity which make us turn off the road, park along side the road, or take a different road. They can be natural, intentionally created, or accidentally made. They are unique, uncommon, unseen, or forgotten. Roadside attractions in all their glory.
The main criteria for an image to be accepted into the group an affirmative answer to this question - 'would I stop the car to look at this.'
