Since there doesn't seem to be any active Selective Color, Colour, Coloring, Colouring group on FAA, I decided to open one.
Hopefully you know what Selective Color means. If not, please see the Group Image for reference. Basically it means that most of the image is BLACK AND WHITE, (Not Sepia) and you have adjusted it to display just a portion showing some real color. Just because an artwork has some black and white in it doesn't mean that it is INTENTIONALLY selective color. It needs to show that you actually worked to get it that way.
And please, do not make us use a magnifying glass to find the color.
Please do not submit photos that do not have Black AND White as the primary 'non-color'. Images using sepia will now be deleted as of Apr 9/21.
Also, please do not repeat the same basic photo, even if using different colors, i.e 3 submissions of the same one girl with a different color of flower in her hair, or the same photo from a different angle or distance.
No Spamming the Group. That is, continuously adding work that is not suitable for the group as per our image acceptance rules. If you do this, your membership from this group will be terminated without warning.
Tasteful images only, and a maximum of 3 per day please.
Hopefully there will not be any abuse of the easy rules.
A side note... Since we are all here to display our work and to make SALES, I do not believe in removing work that is featured. I try to feature sharp images where obvious skill was used in choosing and displaying selective color.
Also we try to have a contest in motion pretty continuously, so please join in on those and have some fun. We reserve the right to use a member's photo as the Contest Logo (free advertising). Entries should be judged on artististic merit and adherance to the subject matter only.
Absolutely NO SOLICITATION of votes allowed.
Let's see some beautiful art....
