I never would have ordered this shirt if I'd known the brand logo was printed like that on the shirt. When I saw the picture when I ordered it, I figured it was a watermark or something like that.

Lots like my shirts
Ah yes, the ubiquitous paper airplane folded from a magazine cover, and not just any magazine. I have a whole stack of these saved from my youth, and none of them are in collectable condition, because I actually read them over and over, as kids are apt to do. So what to do with them? Why not fold them into paper airplanes. That's almost as good a use of my time as reading them in the first place.
As an aside, you should know that this is a parody of issue No. 157, March, 1973, "The Planet Of The Apes", with a cover price of .40 cents CHEAP, and has an Alfred E. Neuman illustration by Norman Mingo adorning the cover.
This is "Appropriation Art", or at least it's my version of it. It's a tribute to my youth, and the time I spent reading trashy magazines. They were damn good trashy magazines though!
My collection is paltry, not much to brag about, and certainly not impressive by any standard what so ever. I've poured over these magazines too many times to reme...
When I was a kid (that ship has sailed) I was big time into drawing cars, a typical boy thing to do at the time. I kept doing it, but never got very good at it. My art was never accurate, my ideas were all over the place, and when I look back at my sketch books, I pretty much sucked. Jump forward a few (many) decades and here I am, creating artwork that is all over the place. Nothing is very accurate, but I have a lot of fun creating this stuff.
