Listed here is a poster depicting the intricate and amazing Airlock set from Ridley Scott's 1979 masterpiece "Alien".
The attention to detail shown in set design for the film has rarely been equalled and greatly adds to the claustrophobic atmosphere created. This particular set plays an important part in the plot of the film, being where Ash (Ian Holm) disobeys Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), and breaks quarantine procedures to allow the injured Kane (John Hurt) - and the gestating alien - through the airlock.
