Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

This was taken during my morning meditative walk on the Big Island of Hawaii. Nature has created these sculptures out of wood that have been bleached white by the sun. The wind and the sea have turned them into sculptures where they are laid to rest on black, volcanic rocks. The contrast is exquisite. The world is full of beauty. Everywhere we look there is something of beauty- a tree, a flower, a bee on a plant, a falling leaf, clouds, a sunset, a bird resting on a limb, a smiling face. If we just take the time to slow down and revel in this miracle that we call earth, we would be more at peace and more content…….In our modern culture, most folks are on autopilot- going through each day asleep–using each moment as a means to get to the next moment. Not truly understanding the power of each moment. I see my photography as a way to capture the ordinary, everyday things in a way that even the most unconscious person will recognize their beauty- each piece of nature is a reflection of god...
The reason I capture the beauty on this planet is best summed up by Joseph Campbell where he said that the "The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature." The world is full of beauty. Everywhere we look there is something of beauty- a tree, a flower, a bee on a plant, a falling leaf, clouds, a sunset, a bird resting on a limb, a smiling face. If we just take the time to slow down and revel in this miracle that we call life, we would be more at peace and more content…….Photography, for me, was something that carried me through a rough time in my life; it helped me to feed my soul even when I was undernourished.
