My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

One of the few items of the 1989 UM BBall Championship that I've seen. Very nice

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description
Ever since my children were old enough to place a dollar or two in the bright red bucket, I would always make it a point to teach them the Salvation Army was one of my favorite charitable organizations. Times are tough for even these fine folk for they no longer hand out mini candy canes to the children but my kids still delight in the sometimes gaped tooth smile and 'thank you' they receive from the bucket keeper. I snapped this trio in Walnut Creek just a couple of days before Christmas. We all made a donation to the bucket while we listened to the trumpet and coronet player play "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen".
About Sheila Tajima
I was born in San Francisco but my father moved me and my mom to Japan when I was 11 months old. There he helped set up the new Army HDQRS after WWII. I stayed in Japan until I was 18 and moved back to California to attend college. I have lived in several cities in the Bay Area since then. I was a police officer for 26 years retiring as a Sergeant a few years ago. I was pretty successful as a Forensic Artist and the composite drawings I used to do to help catch crooks and other bad folks. Now that I'm retired, I am trying to catch up and access all that fun and fine art I've missed out on. After seeing all that darkness, I always look for the light in people and situations.
