SCOUT was one of my first pet portraits many years ago. As a Border Collie, Scout generally had a good temperament, a good disposition. He was friendly and good natured. Once outdoors, he became highly energetic; however, his owner's attempts to capture that energy in a photo taken many years ago, before the invention of digital photography, fell a little short of his intention. Today's digital photography technology allows us to take countless photos of action-packed images until we find the perfect shot to save for posterity. Any shot that does not measure up to our expectation can be discarded without worry about wasted money on development of photos like "in the old days".
