San Miguel de Allende, Mexico was voted "The Best City in the World in Which to Live" by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine for 2013. This poster/painting shows the Parroquia (Parrish Church) from the heights of San Miguel de Allende. This is a blue and gold painting. All blue and gold paintings have the theme - The Light of the Church shines on the rooftops, streets, and inhabitants of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
About Marcia Meade
..I began my art career over 20 years ago in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful colonial town in central Mexico. It is an artist colony and has an atmosphere that brings out one's artistic feelings. I began doing portraits in watercolor but quickly changed to pastel. That has been my medium ever since. Wishing to learn from the best, I attended a two week workshop given by Daniel Greene., who is one of the finest portrait painters in the world. He continues to be my mentor today through his videos and books. During my time in San Miguel, I took many pictures of its people and places.
