A totally adequate purchase - nothing outstanding, nothing problematic. Since the original was one of your stock images, I cannot speak to whether this was a clear image, besides which the original was a watercolor, so clarity is not essential to the success of the image. I predict that a larger image would lack clarity. But I'm generally satisfied.

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!
Artist's Description
Kelvin Way Bridge Of all the many crossings of the Kelvin, this bridge has the most chequered history. City Engineer A B McDonald's single-arch red sandstone bridge was completed in 1914, the same year in which sculptor Paul Raphael Montford won a competition to produce allegorical figures for the four corners of the parapet. The outbreak of war, however, not only led to delays in the production of the bronze sculptures, but also increased the cost of the works. Over the next seven years, the artist and the City Corporation — which had harboured doubts about the cost of ornamental statuary long before the bridge was built — bickered over the overall budget, the many delays and the release of fees. Ultimately, the figures — representing Peace and War (NE), Philosophy and Inspiration (NW), Navigation and Shipbuilding (SE) and Commerce and Industry (SW) — were unveiled in the summer of 1926 to much critical acclaim. About David Davies
I have been a keen photographer since childhood, have worked in photography all my life on the lab side. I work with picture libraries and main themes are landscapes, travel & railways. My images date back to the early 1970s and many were made with transparency film which has been professionally processed & scanned. I was born in London and moved to Germany in 1979. As many shots were taken on return visits to the UK, I was able to see with both the eyes of a tourist and a native. I exhibited canvas prints of my work in Stralsund, Northern Germany in 2005. For those who understand German there is a feature on my old DLAB homepage. I don't specialise or limit myself to any particular style (...yes, I know it would be better for...

Love how the diagonal of the cloud follows through on the monument. You see it best on the thumbnails to the right. v

On taking a closer look at the skull, one can see that a joker has inserted pin-pong balls in the eye sockets!
