Having drawn from a very young age, I discovered the craft of composition through (pre-digital) black and white photography, which led me into monochromatic lino printing.While there I wanted to revisit my drawing roots, and I chanced upon the satisfying feel of soft pastel on raw canvas.   An early fling with bold colours gave way to a simple palette of black, white, and one, usually subtle colour.   Gradually more colours have joined in, and I am currently experimenting with different, often unexpected colour combinations.My influences include Alphonse Mucha, for his sheer drafting skills and sense of design;...more
