Annie B.'s images capture the simplicity of every-day objects, the delicate beauty of nature, from the shores of her home state of Rhode Island to the striking beauty of Kaua'i.
She is a self-taught artist, inspired by a love of doodling and a desire to create playful and memorable characters. Her lines are bold, her colors vivid. A minimalist when it comes to her work, she uses as few lines as possible to capture the essence of each subject. She utilizes a variety of media and techniques, including illustration, carving, block printing, painting, collage, origami, papermaking and photography.
Her work has been sold worldwide, from Tokyo to Texas, Nebraska to New York. Clients include the venerable stationer Cranes & the legendary department store Neiman Marcus, mammoth stationer Itoya in Tokyo, as well as Hollywood’s Kitson boutique, perennial favorite of In Style magazine & Paris Hilton.
Annie B teaches people how to live toxic-free, eliminating harmful chemicals so they can live healthier lives. She is also a writer, editor, artist & photographer. Her essays have been aired on National Public Radio’s “This I Believe” program, and her writing has been published in newspapers & journals across the country.
