A Primitive In The Third Millennium - Un Primitivo Nel Terzo Millennio

This collection of works belongs to the never faded bou who enjoys to imagine what nowadays a hypothetical prehistoric man would draw on the rock wall of a cave. Certainly not horses or bison, as he painted a time, because there are no more in the cities where we live and are usually very rare to come across. Andrea Benetti portrays what are now some of the symbols of our civilization, that accompany us in everyday life and often in dreams that we would like to achieve. The iconography of this that pervades our daily and even our imagination. The works are depicted trains, cars, planes, scooters, sailboats, golfers, launches and flower arrangements, made with great attention to detail. This collection of works consists of bas-reliefs with gesso on canvas and then antiqued using natural substances, such as cocoa, turmeric, henna, red sorrel, coffee. Finally, some parts of the works are painted with oil colors. ///////// Questo contesto della pittura Neorupestre appartiene al fanciullo mai sopito che si diverte ad immaginare che cosa un uomo preistorico raffigurerebbe oggi nella ipotetica parete rocciosa di una caverna. Non certo cavalli o bisonti, come dipingeva un tempo, poiché non esistono più nelle città che abitiamo e sono in genere molto rari da vedere. Andrea Benetti ritrae quelli che oggi sono i simboli della nostra civiltà, che ci accompagnano nel quotidiano e nei sogni che vorremmo realizzare. L'iconografia che grazie soprattutto ai media pervade il nostro immaginario. Le opere raffigurano, perciò, barche a vela, giocatori di golf, automobili, aerei, motoscafi, treni, ma anche fiori, curati in modo maniacale.
