Dave Martsolf Artist Statement

Windham, NH - September 1st, 2008

Dave Martsolf's Artist's Statement As I reviewed years of past work, it came as a shock to me that my style would never settle down. I have ended up with a hand-drawing personal style that I love, but also with a photo-realistic collage style that I also love. On top of that I continue to enjoy small explorations in every direction. What you see here is the end result. Regarding my personal drawing style, it is in its simplest essence the line; the drawn line and what it represented as the delineation of a form, a space, almost the way a topographical line feels out the form of a hill, the way a blind man feels out the tender forms of his or her lover. It is also the signature of the vibration of life and life's emotions, twisted by the influence of others, fighting for a day in the sun, learning the way of calm, the mastery of the surf and the swell of love and anger. ...

Classic Digital Art Now Offered As Prints By Dave Martsolf

Windham, NH - August 24th, 2008

Dave Martsolf, former President of Damsel Softrware Group is now offering a select group of digital artworks as prints suitable for home or office. Martsolf's Group had been responsible for the creation and distribution of many classic screensaver titles offered as downloads in the 1990's before the bust devastated the likes of, Digital River and other Internet software distribution companies. In those days images only had to be 640 x 480 to fit computer screens. However, the programs Damsel used for scene depiction were often scalable so that larger pixel images could be rerendered with no loss of image quality. In fact, image quality is enhanced. Take time to examine these new images as they become available at Dave Martsolf Artist's web location within Fine Art America. Most are now formattted for delivery as up to 40" x 30" sizes on paper or canvas. Beautiful art for your home or your business needs.
