Bio
Deborah Klubertanz was born in 1962 in the state of Illinois. Purchasing her first camera at age 19 opened up her world to many possibilities. Portrait photography was her start into the photography world. Later Deborah would choose to photograph night cityscapes. Darkness through the view finder has opened up her creative inner self. Deborah's work can be seen at 'The Grinde Cafe' in Racine County. Her work can also be viewed and purchased on her own web page. Deborah wants nothing more than to show her creativity in her photography and to open a gallery one day.
She currently resides in Waukesha, Wisconsin and has the support of her best friend and husband, Paul and their three children in this endeavor.
Statement
When photographing cities I focus on the unique formation of the buildings, the culture and how the light will reflect off the buildings and water. Downtowns are generally the heart of the city. I incorporate the viewer and the city into one so that the history and emotions of the city comes alive. This enables the viewer to visualize the city at night through my photographic images.
I want my images to involve my viewers and to allow them to feel the energy and excitement from my photographs. My images should appear real and at the same time surreal.
Deborah Klubertanz joined Pixels on February 4th, 2013.
