When I was a young actor, I had a small part in a Tennessee Williams play where I was called on to play the Spanish guitar. A photographer, the friend of a fellow cast member, liked to listen to me play in the dressing room. He asked if I would sell him my guitar. Well I had more than one guitar, so we ended up trading that guitar for his Nikon. He gave me some basic info on what to do, and I started taking pictures of the rather large cast, who then all lined up to buy prints. I never looked back.
A few years later, I was living in Europe and shooting assignments for major airlines and tour companies. I was able to travel to 57 different countries for clients that included American Express, American Airlines, TWA, PanAm, KLM and Varig.
