Gayland Morris is from Albuquerque, New Mexico and is a visual artist, musician, writer and poet. As a visual artist, Gayland continues his lifelong work with acrylic and ink in an abstract form he calls ImprovArt. Gayland is a graduate of Platt College in San Francisco, where he studied fine art and computer graphics. Gayland moved to Northern California in 1984 and continues to work in the music industry, which has been his profession for over three decades. Painting is more of a necessity for Gayland than it is as an exercise of self expression.
