My work currently includes a personal 'surreal and conceptual expression of spiritual and religious subjects' and this extends in to culture and nature. Exploring the world of photography, photographic and digital art, and also poetry. I enjoy writing my own free style poetry - my themes include Angels and demons, God, deities, and Jesus Christ, light and darkness, life and death, passion and emotions, surreal worlds, humour, fables, thoughts of who and what we are, spiritual well being, and journeys of the mind and soul... and of course, humour and utter nonsense in which I find balance and laughter... All of my poetry is non biographical / non autobiographical and is intended to create illusions of reality and illusions from inside the minds of others! I often write in the first person for greater impact to the reader so they can see themselves within the poem - as the subject itself. Often there is imagery, symbolism and metaphor. Often there is not. Sometimes there is rhyme. I simply use my own emotions and imagination to conjure up scenes and states of minds. I like to provoke thought and evoke images, emotions, journeys and memories... And that's basically it!! Each poem is just a moment... I enjoy nature, urban scenes and landscapes, romanticized reality and vivid colours, as well as seeing the glowing effects of sunlight.. the contrast of light and dark... reflections and glistening light... deep dark and somber shadows. Much of my photography is digitally artistically worked photography some of which has taken many hours, if not many weeks, to achieve - photographic art. All pieces are my own original artistic work and own personal photography!! Dimensions are approximate but as near accurate as possible. Prices displayed for signed edition prints do not include delivery, taxes or duties that might be incurred to be paid by the purchaser. These fees will not be paid by the artist. Please note, signed editions should not be primarily bought as investments, but because you appreciate the individual and unique work. They may become investments but this cannot be guaranteed in any way. Thank you for your interest. All images, writing and poetry COPYRIGHT ŠJason Christopher 2016, all rights reserved, and may not be reproduced, copied, redistributed, manipulated or used without prior permission, thank you for respecting copyright: images may be used as illustration in my poetry works and art publications, and other works authored or co-authored by myself, Jason Christopher. Poetry may also be posted and copyrighted to Jason Christopher under aliases of oddball poetry and the proverbial potty. Editions will be available by request - please email me at JasonChris2010@gmail.com. Different sizes in the edition will be priced as detailed, the largest print at highest price, and hence depending upon the size of piece being displayed, which may alternate, the piece on display may thus change in price. Open edition prints, will be not be hand signed, nor dated, hand titled and not edition numbered; they are sold without a certificate. NB An open edition will have one signed largest print priced a lot higher. Printing is carried out by museum quality printers using archival inks and acid free papers; Limited Signed Editions are printed by order at specialist limited edition printers with highest quality paper and inks stated to last hundreds of years without fading. In the modern era, large size giclee prints are printed on demand, highest quality is individually monitored, in older times a batch was printed together before the print plates wore out, thus earlier number prints were valued more highly, these are no longer valid relevant issues. A set print edition size and hand signature with title, print number, date, alongside the artists seal in the border, plus a certificate of authenticity with the artists seal are the authenticating criteria of my signed editions of a limited size.
