...Jean Maynard studied art history and studio art in Wesleyan University's Graduate Liberal Studies Program. She paints in oils, pastels, and watercolors. During spring, summer and fall, she paints en plein air outdoors, and during the winter months she works on still-life paintings indoors. Her style is traditional and colorful.
