I am a San Francisco Bay Area artist, specializing in oil painting.
In summer 2009, I left the corporate world to follow my passion for art. Almost five years have passed since then. Being a self-taught artist without any formal training, I felt as if I was handy capped when I first started my art career. I thought that no one would take my art seriously. But now those days are gone. Thanks to all the people who have given me so much support! I also received so many heartfelt messages from people I have not even met, and I am truly truly and truly grateful for their kindness because that is what kept me going in both good and bad times. They also made me realized that I do not compete with anyone. I do not need to prove anything. I only have to be 'me'. I am now fully devoted to create art that is purely the expression of my higher-self. My art is a vehicle to connect with others at the emotional level. I also hope to bring healing to people's hearts, which I believe is what we need the most today. There are too much violence and hateridge in the world, and It is so easy to be consumed by all those sad news we hear everyday. That is why if I can make even the smallest change in someone's heart just for a second or bring a glimpse of smile to someone's face through my art, I am the happiest and successful artist on my own definition.
As you can see, I have been mainly creating whimsical little animal paintings for the past few years. I love creating art for little children and make them smile with my art. But now I am ready to try another avenue that is more story telling with fantasy and fairytale images. So please stay tuned!
Thank you for stopping by!
