I have loved playing in art supplies for as long as I can remember. My mother was the most fabulous artist; her art was using frosting to create magnificent sculptures that were on top of mints or cakes. I was in awe of her as I watched her passion come to life. Truly, this was my inspiration.
As I got older, I became attracted to the works of Georgia O'Keeffe and Vincent van Gogh. Their large strokes, bold colors, exciting lines, and organic shapes fascinated me.
Each morning, as I awaken, I am filled with the promise of a new day ; with each sunrise come new insights and new inspirations. I am surrounded by love; unconditional love from my family, my friends, my art. From this love, I find there is always beauty just waiting to emerge in the form of a painting.
My latest paintings are a series inspired by organic shapes; an iris, beautiful faces of women, and other various natural objects. I have an interest in the Day of the Dead with its bright, radiant colors. My beautiful women series signify various lovely creatures that exist in my life; their secret wonders fill my world.
I hope to travel this earth and continue to fill my mind and soul with the wonders that surround me. Glory to those that Hope and may I always have the ability to see, breathe, love, and create.
