My family has made chocolates and candy since at least 1885. I began candy making at age 5 helping make hand pulled taffy. I cut the wax paper squares and wrapped the taffy. I also spent many hours on grandma's lap licking the fudge spoons. In return they made me banana taffy, my favorite. At the same time I spent many hours with my grandmother bird watching and taking snapshots of them and other wildlife out the dining room window with a brownie box camera.
