Linda Champanier is a painter and photographer who strives to capture a sense of the wonder and mysteries she sees. She hopes that viewers will find resonance with their own visions of fantasy, nature, time and myth within her artwork. Her photographs and paintings have been featured on several book covers, and have won numerous awards.

Linda started drawing portraits when she was twelve years old, and continues to work as a commissioned portrait artist. She strives to capture the unique spark in each individual. For many years, she worked exclusively in pastels, but once she painted her first oil portrait, she discovered she loved the richness and depth that oils create.

She studied art at Westminster College in Pennsylvania, and went on to study with Connecticut portrait artist Freda Dreany, and later studied with Roger Hendricks at Purchase College. Believing there is always more to learn, she currently studies with Andrew Lattimore at Westchester Arts Workshop. Linda is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists.

Linda Champanier joined Pixels on January 12th, 2007.
