Mark Cheney is a resident of the Central Oregon coastal town of Newport, Oregon and a member of the Yaquina Art Association. He does driftwood sculptures as well as photography. In May 2014 Mark published the historical novel, MARK OF THE JAGUAR, a Book of Mormon Adventure in the Land of the Maya, which is unique in LDS fiction about the Book of Mormon in that it takes place after the close of the Book of Mormon (421 AD) in around 685 AD.
