Born in County Limerick, Ireland in 1937, Noel Barry works exclusively in oils. He focuses on painting the Irish landscape capturing all the moods of the temperate, rainy light. Reared on a small farm, Noel’s subject matter invariably involves the ruined cottages that now litter the Irish landscape – memories of times past. Noel uses a wet on wet technique.
