Obi-Tabot Obi Tabe was born in Cameroon, West Africa, where he completed his primary and secondary school education. After finishing high school, Obi worked as biological illustrator at the Cameroon National Herbarium in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He won the position on the strength of his advanced study in Biology and Chemistry, his fastidious attention to scientific detail and remarkable drawing ability. Obi maintained this position for over three years before moving to the United States to pursue studies in art.
After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, Obi moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a freelance graphic designer, scientific illustrator and painter for a few years before deciding on a career in pharmacy. He obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy in Pennsylvania and also an MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Obi-Tabot Tabe is currently a staff/clinical pharmacist licensed in the states of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. He continues to create art pieces that will educate, ennoble, and uplift the viewer, interior decorator and the serious art collector. His artwork ranges in style, from abstract to representational.
