Inukshuk Photos

Dotting the rocky landscape of the Canadian Shield as you drive along TransCanada Highway, north of Barrie, Ontario, you will spot dozens of these stone markers which are traditionally found throughout the Arctic regions. These stone structures have come to be recognized in Canadian culture as symbols of welcome and friendship. You'll find a very informative short video about Inuksuit (plural) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKQ97rOwBH0
