Moments in time and the mind
Thinking about my work takes me down a road that is never ending…
My paintings are about a final cry before the end. What a man would want to say on his death bed. A confession to only himself, speaking in an innate hidden language that he doesn’t totally understand. I work as if I’m leaving behind something.

Feeling it stops you dead in your tracks.
Moods of doubt and ecstasy, insidious, seductive without sentimentality, urethral, seeing more as you gaze. it’s never the same, imagination is inspired, the self becomes conscious. The impact is powerful. There truly is something to it.
They say you cannot separate the art from the artist- only the artist can. It is a myth, a parlor trick, a test of fate where there is no hope.
The angst is unforgiving, the expanse is worth living.

Knowing Who I am does not matter till all my work is done. I can still live and love and cry just the same.
Working with a brush in a trance where I am not fully there, as one might know it. Automatic and physical in nature from a mind that could not survive any other way. Impromptu like a dance, like wit that rolls off your tongue.
Vibrant, vital, filled with life, elastic style with a broad scope that covers everything, ironically consistent with strong narratives.
We think this time is new, when it is more than it is ever was before
