Sandy DeLuca's art has been exhibited in galleries, hair salons, book stores and online venues. She sold her first painting in a hair salon in 1979 and her first solo art show was in 1986. She's painted covers and interior art for various small press publications. She has worked in the horror and fantasy genres, producing portraits and landscapes. Abstract Expressions

I painted some of these pieces back in 2005. I visited the street artists in SoHo and was inspired by their colorful abstract pieces. They hang un-stretched canvas on portable racks and sell them that way. I planned to one day bring my art there and join them, but due to circumstance, I never did. However, I did manage to paint a number of abstract pieces on un-stretched canvas. Other pieces were painted when I did a lot of local exhibits in 2012 and 2013. Lately, I've gone back to creating abstract work, as it allows a sense of freedom and for me to more able to express my years of experience and my life.
