Stacey Hansen (née Terry) was born in Dearborn, Michigan on June 6, 1967. Raised in Detroit, Michigan in the same bungalow home in which her mother grew up, Stacey spent her time reading books under the old maple trees in her backyard, watching the birds and squirrels in the trees, wishing she could float through the trees and the sky with them. Vacations as an adult were spent on the shores of the lakes in the Great Lake State, watching the ebb and tide of the water, the gentle flow bringing calm and serenity.
It is that same calm and serenity that Stacey brings to her art. Whether on canvas, jewelry, tile, glass, or wood, Stacey finds creative ways to blend the colors together, creating a gentle ebb and tide of pigment as the paint floats across the canvas to bring a calming peace to a hectic life.
Stacey currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with her husband, daughter, three cats…. and a lot of paint.
