Local Woman Pursuing Her Passion, Art

Stacy Kelley of Mansfield has been creating art since she was young, and recently decided to follow her passion full time. The Tioga County Partnership for Community Health media and outreach consultant decided to pursue art full-time, after a hiatus from art of several years. She and her husband live with their 7-year-old daughter and Boston terrier Barty outside Mansfield that has a room that Kelley described as having “great light.” “The light floods in from the east in the morning and from the west in the evening. It is my favorite room in the house,” she said. Kelley, who is originally from Sullivan County, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art from Kutztown University. She enjoys painting in acrylics and water colors, and also works in ink and pencil drawings. She is looking to pull together enough pieces to hold a show. Two of her acrylic paint...
