My name is Stephen A. Sookoo, I am a LPN by profession but at heart, I'm An artist. I taught myself how to airbrush, first on textiles, then canvas and eventually automobiles, motorcycles, helmets and alomost any surface that can take paint. I started out with Graffiti, using the tag Zen 1. I purchased my first airbrush back in 82' and have been brushin' since. I learned, at a young age, theres money to be made with the airbrush. I started airbrushing denim outfits, mostly graffiti, but also did alot of 'Eddie' the character from Iron Maiden. I was also intrigued by the work of Boris, Frazettra & Olivia among others. I took every art class that my High School, (Longwood, Middle Island N.Y.), had to offer. I alos dabble in all different kinds of medium. Currently I have been working with graphite pencils. I recently took a year long class for work on Multicultural Theory. During the class I rediscovered the pencil. I started a little sketch book and it grew from there. I specialize in pencil or airbrush portraits. Usually, I will study the face for a few hours or so, then I get at it.
