The universe has been expanding and evolving for 13.8 billion years - beautifully - culminating in the emergence of human consciousness. We are the universe itself, finally aware to contemplate our existence. These images I have captured of our galaxy and our universe are not pictures of a place wherein we live. They are more like fragments of a grand universal self portrait, of which we - and absolutely everything else - are a part.more
