I uploaded 17 images on 2-17-18 and they are not showing up in the search bar, under my name. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem and how I can fix it. I have notified IT, with no response. The images are showing up in my Behind the Scenes, just not in the shopping search section. I have all the keywords in, but the images just seem to be in outerspace. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Patience :o) - sometimes it takes a bit longer untill the server is updated. Last time it took 5 or 6 days.
usually it take 24 hours. what search terms are you looking for?
it sorts it by how well things sell, it doesn't sort it by how new it is. i see everything on your page just fine. also make sure to use gmail, most isp's erase our mail.

It seems to be the main site search not just the artist websites/collections. I uploaded a couple of images over the weekend and they still don't appear in any search (here or on my AW).
Going a step further, when I search what should be pretty common keywords and sort on date added, I get results at the top from a few days ago.
Example: https://fineartamerica.com/art/abstract?sort=recentlyadded
The first image in that search was added on the 17th - no one has uploaded and used the word abstract since then? Seems unlikely.

There are several reasons images are not found in search
The keywords do not contain the actual word being searched for (including a name which should be searched for in the artists directory, not the art search or by using the drop down on the search box)
The keywords have not been on the site for over 24 hours
The images have a safe filter on
The images are in password protected galleries
They are past the end page we show for any one search, which is not all images. We stop showing after around 200 images. If more images on the site than that it may well be at the back of the search.
You have not had a headshot on the site for the past 24 hours
Check your own profile shop to make sure they are there https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/1-tracie-fernandez/shop ( https://pixels.com/profiles/1-tracie-fernandez/shop ) If not and they've been up over a week, got prices and are not in a passworded folder, please let me know
As it says on the pricing pages, non-household items are on http://pixels.com and premium sites only
Pixels.com is going to become the parent website that sits above all the other websites. As we introduce new products (e.g. iPhone cases, calendars, puzzles, etc.), each new product will appear on Pixels.com. The "fine art" domains will continue to only sell products that fall under the "fine art" heading (e.g. canvas prints, framed prints, etc.)
Just log in using your normal details
You can see more about this in your BEHIND THE SCENES | Domain area

All of the images show in my profile, but when I search to buy, 46 older images of mine come up just fine, but the 17 images I posted 5 days ago do not come up. So, I don’t think it’s related to the search term I am using, which is my name. I should have 63 images come up when I search.

I have a few images I uploaded on 2/18/2018 that have yet to be indexed. It's usually within 24 hours, usually overnight as far as I can tell.

I am a new member and mine aren't showing up either, even when filtered. Thank you for starting this discussion. Now I know it's the site and not anything I did wrong. LOL thought I might be going cray cray there for a sec. Guess patience is required but that don't mean I gotta like it!

Tracie,
I see 63 images!
Try hitting F5 for about 7 seconds!
Or maybe you've been updated!

Tracie;
I'm not seeing your name as keywords for the first images on your portfolio. Also, the search can be tricky. Make sure you're searching for keywords or tags and not title.

I have a problem with my uploads too. I've read that new uploads doesn't appear immediately on search results so I waited. I uploaded 5 images last Feb. 20 and another one earlier today. I tried searching again for the keyword "watercolor" and only my post earlier appears. Do I have to reupload the other 5?
Jethro...that keyword is used thousands upon thousands of times. New images well appear so far back with that keyword as to not appear at all in the 2000 or so images we show in search.
You should not rely on such generic keywords.
I used other keywords too. Also, I sorted out the results to show the most recent and I don't understand why only my post today appears. I also tried searching other keywords that I used.
what other words did you try? you have to be specific, its like calling out your name - would you turn around if i yelled - Hey Jethro? or if i yelled Hey Human!
watercolor figure anatomy human female water
those are the basic words you have, all generic. it doesn't paint a picture of what it looks like. describe it better, also the description should be filled in.
if she's underwater say that, mention the colors, the pose, legs, feet, foot worship, podiatrist, and so on, the more exact the word, the better your chances are. because people look for certain things, they don't just type watercolor figure.
the search sorts by how well you sell, not how recent an image is put up. even the new uploads are sorted that way. basically if you want sales you have to advertise, but mostly you need better words, more exact words.

Thank you for the tips Mike and Isabella! I'm still learning as I'm very new here. I just don't get why my latest upload with the same generic keywords appears while the rest doesn't.
actually that is strange. the easiest way to check is to do a search on your page, and only 1 came up. i guess the search got broke again....

It depends on whether we were on Mars, or not.
And Problems With Keyword Search (updates) have been going on for a while.

Yes only 1 came up. i guess I just have to wait for the fix as I fix my keywords. Thanks again!
Update: It's working now. Thanks everyone.
I didn't know you have to have a premium membership to post a reply so I'm just updating this. I'm not sure why I was able to post yesterday.

I uploaded an image on Feb 14th. I can't find it by searching for any of its keywords, or even its exact title (yes I chose "Title" on the dropdown). It has "minneapolis" in the keywords; if I search for keyword+artist "minneapolis jim hughes" I get all my other Minneapolis photos - but not this one.
The only thing I can conclude is that the search hasn't updated in a week.

Similar here. I uploaded two images on Sunday - Sold prints of both the same day after sharing them to my followers. Yet, on the 23rd, neither shows up anywhere on FAA or if I search those keywords on my AW. I know sometimes the AW is behind the main site in updating but if I go to my profile here or search from the top here on FAA and sort by most recently added or sold, neither of them shows up. So they are not showing up either side.
I had a similar problem happen a couple of months ago and images I uploaded on days later showed up. It was as if the search just hiccuped on that one day. In that case, it wasn't worth contacting support. I just deleted and uploaded again and that one showed up in searches the next day. These have sales history associated, so I don't want to try that.
PS I shouldn't say they appear nowhere on FAA. If I visit the gallery/collection they're in, I see them. But as soon as I choose any sort of sort they vanish. They're here, but they are not in search index.

Thanks Abbie!
PS Not saying it was "urgent" either just wanted to be sure it was acknowledged. :-)

I don't know if i'd say 'urgent' but something appears wrong. If the indexing isn't always happening, I'm left wondering what percentage of my photos are actually indexed.

I'm going to chime in here too.
On February 18th, 2018 i uploaded 2 images, barbados bathsheba beach watercolor and barbados bathsheba beach.
The images do not show in search results as of February 23
A search on FAA for barbados bathsheba beach watercolor shows another artists single painting, barbados bathsheba in painting category results in 8 paintings and still not mine

Search appears to have updated. I can see my new uploads from several days back both in search here and on my artist website. Thanks!
And I hope it has updated for the rest of you, too!

Yup! it´s fixed. Appears the search now finds all art back till 21th. At least that´s where it stops for me. Means Images posted on 21th to today don´t show up.
