Selling On Ebay

It has been some time since I visited Fine Art. I have heard that some folks post their Fine Art listing on ebay. If this is true I am curious about the success and the mechanism. Comments and direction will be appreciated.

I sell originals on ebay, a few a year anyway. You can have up to 50 listings without paying a listing fee. I just list for fixed price for 30 days and let it auto-renew until it sells or I decided to take it down and put up something else. I have also sold on ebay a couple 8x10 prints I made myself but I decided with only 50 slots I'd rather just list originals.

Not only have I sold my artwork on Ebay, others have resold my work there too..

Currently someone is selling one of my pieces on Ebay and there's nothing I can do about it

Thank you for your response. Cant you put a copyright on the image to protect your rights?

Robert, Roger isn't saying someone is selling a copy of his art, but rather they are reselling art that he some time ago sold to them, no copyright issue there.

Sorry misunderstood, thank you for the clarification.

I was an eBay Powerseller of art glass for years. Can you sell artsy stuff on eBay? Absolutely. Is feeBay a major PITA to deal with? ABSOLUTELY. I'd look into Etsy first. Also, eBay is for bargain hunters, Etsy not so much.

I have had a store on ebay for about a year. I don't have a lot of sales but still enough to make it worthwhile With a store you can list almost endless listings included in the monthly subscription cost of about $25.

I used to have my artwork custom printed for me, then sell it on eBay in a rolled tube. With sometimes crumpled, or mashed tube results. In frustration, I stopped selling my artwork at a certain point.

Thousands of prints sold on eBay. Shipped them all over the world for more than twenty years. The key is top quality packing materials. We had (and still do) less than a .05% damaged, lost or return rate. That includes framed and glassed artwork.
