Just to get in to the spirit of this challenge I am submitting a basset hound drawing. I used to draw this little guy, Buster, for my children and grandchildren and have not drawn him for years now. The kisses he is with are chocolate kisses that he may or may not have gotten into.... this is just for fun.

Is that my cow? It looks like my cow! I love it, even if it isn't my cow. I want it to be my cow.

Sweet work Roger and Gaby!
Here is my effort. This is Hamish when he was a puppy. He is an old guy now but still likes to give big, wet kisses.

Thank you Abbie. I didn't get the nose quite right but it does capture his puppy personality from that time.

I've been wanting to sketch my beautiful little Cuddle boy and this was a start. Still too painful. The sketch lasted a whole 4 minutes! He passed away in October of 2018. He was 17 years old. I raised him for the first 9 years of his life and he was just the best Bichon ever. ;( This was a good start to try, but I'm not ready yet. charcoal on artagain paper

Well, I showed this before in another thread, but I've made some new decisions about it, ... mainly that it sucks. Consequently, I have started over, by first refining my baseline sketch, which I will transfer to good archival board and attempt to shade with greater skill than this attempt that I have come to view as a crappy final attempt -- at first I was going to live with it, but now I am not, because I MUST do better than what you see here:

This was, as you might remember, "Bruce", who also passed away in October of 2018 at the age of 12 and a half or so.

Okay, it's not a kiss, but it's the beast as a big old-man, toothless puppy, perfectly willing.

To keep this thread alive

Here is an ink scribble:

Come on Guys, I challenge you

Art Print Cartoon sketches of Cyrus Pup Adventures.
Cyrus was my first, very own, dog.
I got her from the pound (animal shelter) when I was a young teen.
-
The term “Rescue Dog” wasn’t yet invented.
She was full of Wet Puppy Kisses for her new human :)
-
She was a black lab - boxer kind of mixed breed.
A typical dog, she loved the great outdoors.
Chasing squirrels up trees and digging were her favorite antics.
-
When my sister went away to college, we wrote letters to each other.
I always included silly sketch drawings of Cyrus’ recent adventures.

By the way, I gotta clean my scanner

I wish I could think of cute things and draw as fast and as well as you do Roger.

My one submission took a lot of effort!

I might have lots to offer there. (^_^)

GREAT GOING JASON!!

Got me thinking about, "Butterfly Kisses"

Pretty awesome Jason!

Roger, eww, I love worms and all, but, eww, dog pulling out worms idea almost makes me gag!

Robert, I already feel Sketch Challenged :)

Roger Swezey

Carlin,

I wanted it to look like the worm came out of his hole to greet the pup.

Back to the drawing board

This small painting is from a photo of Jillian Swoyer just after her graduation from Kansas U. She was meeting Cromwell for the first time. Jilly is the daughter of the late Dr. Tom Swoyer and Jean (Swoyer) Shugart.

@ Roger, the new rendition of worm love is less creepy. Reminds me of a Cobra dance, snake coming out of the basket when it hears the flute music
