:-) I loved winning the original. All the way to UK it flew!! Awesome
I used the fact I won it on a site the other day when they asked about awards won!

And to mid-western Canada! Abbie -- when you can -- could you please restore the link from your Page #3 of previous winners -- mine goes to an old page that I closed long ago.
Thanks :)

It's slightly changed now, Roger, due to some things behind the scenes.
This way we get to keep an eye on it and where it's going
I'll do that shortly Carmen

Yes Roger in a way they do. They can nominate and choose that person once they are "in the system"

I noticed you have to have their e-mail and I don't.
My pick is Victor Molev: https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/victor-molev.html?tab=artworkgalleries

Please use the website Tony linked to. :-)
I do not understand this... " noticed you have to have their e-mail and I don't. "

Abbie, on the Nomination page at the link to nominate form, it asks the nominator for the email of their chosen nominee.....and we
usually don't have people's emails, just the Contact on their profile page, not their personal email.
Thanks all involved. This is a beautiful award and so far, all recipients are so deserving of their Wins.
I'm going to think long about if/who I might nominate.

It says
Do you have their email? Please place here if yes.
And you don't have to fill that part out........

Great seeing everyone, Tony, Carmen, Roger so glad of your recovery and you are doing ok, hello Abbie, Lise, VIVA, I am sorry to hear Susan is not feeling well. I for one was floored when nominated and received the award. I pretty much shared it with the entire City of New Orleans then sent it to Susan who also was in shock. I was so humbled and an honor to be part of a great tradition here at Fine Art America. Thanks Tony for re-posting I had wondered what became of the award since Susan had received the award last. I had been so busy with client projects had not been in the limelight of things here in the discussions......I hope Susan is doing better, I miss seeing her around....
The link Tony provided above I visited that site about two weeks ago or so, I followed a link from Kathy McCullen a link about writing, I just glanced and left, is this site the site Abbie designed its beautiful!!! Can any Fine Art America member join that site? Is there a fee associated? I did find the revision pages 1,2,3 and 4 all about The Tony Award II. Thank you for sharing and including the images I took of The Tony Award II while it was visiting New Orleans, LA I still get inquiries sentiments pertaining to the beautiful design of the award Tony Created and introduced.

Just looking back on the list of previous winners, makes me feel nostalgic. Some are still here, some come in and out but aren't around as much, and some are sadly no longer with us. Seeing Hal on there was sort of surreal. It's a unique kind of community here at FAA, and it's great to be a part of.
Also, I agree with Michael, your site is looking great Abbie!

Abbie the magazine looks awesome. I was about to hop in and comment around but I'm on the wrong computer and out of town, so nowhere near my spiral notebook with the passwords. If anything happens to that notebook, I'm toast. Agree with Shana about looking over the names ... the creme de al creme for sure.

I was going to check out the magazine but it's blocked by the work network
I wonder why :(

I don't know! I can get onto things like YouTube and even Facebook. They do block nudity, games, or sites without the right SSL certificates. Not sure what else. thought you might like to be aware though!

Abbie.
Confused by this statement;
Nominee - Who is it you think should receive the Tony Award? Please note they must be aware you are nominating them. *
No problem letting it go for vetting by whoever decides, but we have to tell the INDIVIDUAL we are nominating them??
Why do we need to let them know we are nominating them.
I feel several are deserving, yet one particularly stands predominant in my mind.
Do I have to contact that person to let him or her know. If so, why?
Whenever I was nominated for special group features, I was informed by the group administrator.
It was always an honor and a surprise, and I wholeheartedly appreciated the person nominating me;however,
I would have felt awkward if someone had emailed telling me they were going to do so, like they needed my permission...
Am I missing something here?

Mike, The reason this is being done is so that the "Potential" recipient is on board with passing it along. For example you might nominate a person who may not necessarily be OK with receiving it or be able to ship the award to the next recipient. In that case you would nominate someone else. The current holder (to be announced in a few weeks) will be able to look at the potential list of nominees and be assured the award will be appreciated as well as moved along to the next person. It's slightly more complex than in the past but this is the result of unforeseen issues and loss of the first award. If you are feeling especially humble, you can also nominate yourself.

Thank you Tony and Abbie!
So So Happy for those so honored but respectfully don't feel I would hardly come close to those that I feel are most deserving.
I informed my nominee and await a reply.
Hopefully it will be accepted so I can start filling out the form properly!

Thanks, Joy - and Tony, for getting this fun award going in the first place.
TonyAward went out with my husband and me to enjoy a special brunch at a favorite local breakfast place yesterday. The eggs Benedict order was enough for both the trophy and me; hubby had the "Hungry" menu item and it was enough for three (but he ate it all by himself!).

I have been looking forward to announcing the December Artist of Merit/Tony Award winner for days. The award has arrived and is now in the temporary possession of Cynthia Decker.
https://pixels.com/profiles/cynthia-decker
I have been a fan of Cynthia’s art ever since I discovered it - and especially since I read her description and explanation of how she creates it. I am in awe. Her images are 3D renderings, not created from photographs but original artworks created on the computer. For a much more detailed explanation of the processes she uses, do visit her site: www.curious3D.com
I’ll kick off the celebration by sharing just a few of my favorites.
I love to read, to myself and aloud to my grand-daughter. Books have taken us far and wide and on countless adventures. “StoryWorld” speaks to me every time I see it – which is often as it appears regularly on the “Recently Sold” lists here.
All six of the images in Cynthia’s Equibrium series are delightful; they work equally well alone or paired or in a grouping. Here are two of my favorites:
I’ve always been fascinated by surrealist paintings. Here are two I find particularly imaginative.
I could share more . . . but I won’t. I’d rather let you explore on your own and make your own discoveries. Enjoy! I know you will.

I have the lovely award right here and will share a pic with it in the next week or so. How exciting to have been nominated and have it here!
There's lots of fancy awards out there but to get one from my peers, from other working artists... well that's the best, hands down.
I paint with acrylics and make physical miniatures too, but my digital process is the best way for me to express what I see in my mind when I come up with a concept. My work is a multi step process of 3d modeling (from scratch or with existing models), texture creation, lighting, rendering, and then overpainting with a digital tablet. I'm slow to produce because sometimes images take me hundreds of hours to complete.
My process helps me express ideas and concepts that sometimes take quirky form in my mind, and gives me the realism I like with the ability to tweak every detail to be what I want. Plus I sort of grew up when 3d technology was new, so the whole vibe just fits me and feels a part of me. I feel like I've found the right toolset and process for my art, and again, to have my peers see something special in what I do just really puts a big smile on my face.
Thanks everyone!

I've chosen the following work of art, since I can't post all 209.
Every element in this enchanting image was obviously was done with a Discerning Eye
From the placement of each book, to the inclusion of the draping line outside the window....even each and every scrape on the distressed flooring

Thanks everyone! I'm not here in the forums very often, I go through long periods of not wanting to be social at all, but I do admire the work of you all and sometimes feel like a little kid at the grown up table here!
