the problem is, its the only reason excuse they have. it could be 45 days or even more. so if it comes back in 30 days, you get that same exact reason. that's why i wish there were more reasons other than that.
if that's the case i wonder if they ran out of wood or something? that's all i can think of. unless the customer died or something and didn't want it. it wasn't going to north carolina or some other storm hit state did it?
It is the 16-17 days that went by and it was still not shipped. That's the problem. Not that they canceled it. It says it was supposed to ship in 5-6 days. 16-17 days later it had still not shipped so they canceled it. I can't blame the buyer for that.
This morning I was reading a well-known merchant catalog, and they mentioned that a particular lamp could not be shipped to California. I have never seen anything like that before. I don't know if it has a thing in the world to do with your situation, Floyd, but I wonder if California has changed a law or something.
I am having an issue with two canvas prints I ordered with my Billboard coupon.
I made a test first, I ordered just one. The status was changed into shipped from processing in 3 days, and in 4 days after it was delivered. ( From Netherlands to Portugal)
was all smooth order.
But this two is just not arriving, and I wanted to find out instead of waiting, and as I am an insisting lady, I asked till I got finally a correct answer, what is the issue, but took lots of emails there and back. I hope at least this time was correct...
After a week I contacted CS, that the status is not changing to shipped from processing, and compared to the first print is strange that 7 days still processing. I asked if they were printed, and shipped really?
First I got answer, that the transit time is 15 days, and it varies from country to country, and takes time to get through to customs. ( but the transit time was 4 days in the first case)
I wrote again, that my concern was, that these two canvas were not printed at all maybe, because is not changing to shipped the status.
Then I got an answer that yes, they were printed and shipped already, and I need to keep in mind, that the tracking will update when the shipment cleared customs, and when it was delivered.
So I wrote, if they were printed and shipped I guess is fine, they should arrive, it is just not visible anywhere that they were shipped.
For that I got answer, that yes, international shipping takes time.
After some days passed, so I asked again if they were printed and shipped why still not changing the status from processing to Shipped??
And I got answer, that the tracking number provided is not available at the moment, and the system is updating, and I should check back in 1-2 days.
So I wrote again in 3 days, because it was not any change ( 2 weeks passed since order date)
And I asked again, are you really sure, these two canvas were printed and shipped ?!
Could you check please with the printer?
And I got an answer that due to mechanics issue, the 2 canvas order HAVEN'T SHIPPED YET ...
They are expecting to solve this issue the end of next week...
If I cannot wait, they can cancel, and I can get refund...
Buy hey we are talking about 2 billboard canvas, I cannot get refund, I would like my prints till I can claim them (30 days) ...
So, in one week of emailing vice versa, I was able to find out the answer to my original question, that the two canvas were not printed, and not shipped. It is not the fault of transit, or updating system, but mechanics problem..
Meanwhile I stay at home during a week, and dont dare to go anywere, as they told they were shipped, they can arrive any time. The first canvas came not with post but a van, and I didnt need to sign anything, so I didnt want to risk they arrive, and they take them back to Netherlands or who knows where lol.
Now I will wait till end of next week and start again I guess, if the status is not changing from processing to shipped.
i figure until you get that notice that says they were shipped, and you have a tracking number, then assume they were not shipped. not sure what the delay is though. the shirts i can understand a ton of people won those, but only handful (of the 20,000), got the full amount. i wonder what the current reviews of this site shows, and if it has to do with shipping delays like that.
I have had this happen, Floyd. I asked once, long ago, and I believe it was suggested that there was something wrong with the buyer's credit card. The sold announcement is generated automatically . . . but then certain verifications go on so that FAA does not get scammed. I'm assuming that if something is wrong with the way a purchase is made, CS makes every effort to "fix" things - contacts buyer, suggests they use a different card, etc. If, in the end, they cannot resolve the issue, they cancel the order. They only have a certain number of auto-responses they can put on cancellations. Since the order never went out, the most "descriptive" in this case is "cancelled prior to shipment".
Now I'm kind of making all this up, but it makes sense to me.
