I Need A Monitor And Touch Tablet Any Suggestions?

Hello:

I'm working off of a 13" apple laptop and it's getting difficult and tiresome.

I need a good quality monitor to be able to see things bigger (my TV is old and doesn't have the best quality) and I would also like to invest into a pen and touch tablet to do editing from.

Any suggestions on what to get or avoid?

Cheers,
David

tablet wise, i use a wacom intous. the medium size, whatever they call it now. and added tablet glass to make it smoother. and they make high quality tv's for a low price, i'd look into that if you have the inputs.

David,

Welcome! Nice stuff over at your place! Not familiar with Apple products, but the easiest answer, is to see if you can add a monitor to your laptop. My old android allowed another screen. AND if you can, then go with something like 24-27". I have two, hooked up to my desktop and really like that setup, 2-27" monitors. Have a good ASUS and HP, both under $200, probably closer to $150 on sale and fine for this kind of work. Color close enough for uploading to FAA....

Thank you Rich!

I have an older tv that I sometimes hook up as a background for some shoots, but the color is different from my laptop, so I am hesitant to use it as a computer monitor to edit from.
I am hoping that the newer TVs have adjusted for this and are better or find a a quality monitor to use.

Thank you,
David

David,

Yes, I would think most TVs aren't as closely calibrated as monitors, not to mention the resolution issues. Here's a simple "tool" that I made to see HOW off the color is on screens....

Art Prints

Photography Prints

Both of these should show NO color if the TV is close....
