His thoughts are revelatory.
He studied so intensely and wrote in an accessible manner.
The Treatise is a beloved handbook and one I frequently consult.

He wore many hats but not the inventor of the scissors.

In life it's a good thing that one can wear many hats as Leonardo because one never knows what life might throw at you and what one might need to fall back on. Then some say jack of all trades and master of none. Since I personally don't aspire to be the master of anything, I like to hedge my bet on the many hats. :-)

Leonardo was an amazing man with many talents indeed! I have a brother named Leonardo.

Leonardo lived in a time before cell phones, TV and discussion threads. Fewer distractions, more focus.

He's dead.

But... was he a great cook?

Carlton----Leonardo was also an anatomist, medical illustrator, and scientific illustrator.
Many consider him the father of historical medical illustration. The father of modern medical illustration--Max Broedel.
