Framed Print Sizes

I have a question regarding sizes for framed prints. I tried looking for the info (maybe I just missed it....)
If I order à 36×24 framed print, is it the print that is 36×24 or the frame. If it is the print itself, what size is the frame?
is there a size chart available?
I want to be certain of my measurements
thanks

Erin, it gives you the overall size of the materials. The print is 24x 36 (or whatever) but underneath the framed print it says: Dimensions

Image:

24.50" x 36.00"

Mat Border:

2.00"

Frame Width:

0.88"

Overall:

30.00" x 41.50"

Hi Erin,

The image is 36 x 24 - depending on the style frame you order the total dimensions will change

Pick your image - pick your frame and under that image you will see dimensions of the image and of it with the frame

The frame increases the size, when you sell a framed print you will see the total size in your notification.

I selected à frame and à mat, but I am still not seeing where it shows me the complete size.

Scroll down - just under the image of the framed print

It says Dimensions under the framed picture

I figured it out. It shows on my computer, not my phone.
Thankyou everyone

In the framing industry, the size of the artwork and the size of the frame are the same thing. A 24x36 inch print will go into a 24x36 inch frame

You measure the inside dimensions, not the outside. The outside will be determined by the width of the molding, not the size of the print.

If it is a one-inch molding, the overall dimensions will be 26 x 38. If it is a four-inch molding the overall dimensions will be 32x44 inch, but they will still come them both 24x36 inch frames because the artwork that it fists is 24x36 regardless of how wide the molding is.

The size rabbit is usually 1/4 of 3/8 because you can not put an exact 24x36 into an exact 24x36 inch frame. But they still call it a 24x36 frame.

The overall size of the artwork being framed will include any matting as well. So a 24x36 inch print with three-inch mat is now 30v42 and is going to need a 30x42 inch frame.
