I would go abstract or semi-abstract :)

Do nothing to the canvas. Place a $1,000,000.00 price tag on it. Call yourself a Modern Art Philosopher and come up with some BS dialog regarding the void in the human spirit.

I heard taping a banana to things makes it worth more.

Be sure to prime it well.

Hang the blank canvas in a modern art gallery and entitle it "Vacancy". You'll sell it for a million bucks.

Start priming it and the moment you are in the groove it will come to you.

Leave it blank. Call it, "Open Mind". Display it on Facebook. Someone will want to by it as NFT!

Lyrical Fluid Abstract would look really stunning at that size. I love Jonas Gerards work (he's passed now) really colorful large works

deKooning has dementia and did not know who he was in the 1980s by all accounts. He painted masterpieces daily.

I would understand these paintings not copy them. I would change out a few things in how the abstractions were constructed. I would form subjects not pure abstracts.

Then I would go to paint.

Put a spot of burnt sienna on it. That's what I do. I then end up with a painting somehow

If your mind is blank concerning ideas for a painting then I would suggest a walk around outside for a while. Go somewhere with trees which are thought to relax you.
When you get home just go about your usual things that you do. try not to think too much about your painting. You may have an idea or two later on about what to paint.

If nothing else search for some type of paintings online. Do not paint anything exactly like another existing painting. It is just to give you some ideas of what to paint. Best of luck to you with your big canvas.

If you have many followers you could ask them to give you their input and offer a kind of prize to the one who gave you the best idea for you.

Its been a week now, is there anything on it yet?

Here's hoping Rob is busy painting his canvas!

Robert, I would take it off the easel and place it on the ground over a larger tarp and get some really vibrant colors and do a drip painting or I would do an aerosol grafia outer space painting with some planets, stars and a nebula or two, if curious I have some examples in my gallery.

Some great suggestions, everyone! Thanks to each of you for contributing. Current status: the canvas is still waiting for me to work on it, but it will have to wait for a little while, as I am taking a mini vacation at the beach.

You may not be a fan of Bob Ross, but for inspiration, it might be worth checking out his black canvas work.

I know the feeling.
Don't let it intimidate you.
After a while you just have to go for it and it will happen...
