Incredible art and very relative even today. With each generation it gets easier as my son complains about not having the latest IPAD. Inspiring and humbling to say the least.

Sorry, Chuck, for my inaccurate assumptions and misreading of this scene you depicted. I just read your commentary about it and realized my mistake. The comments about skill and clarity do still stand. My misreading of the piece was due to mental exhaustion and failure to read your notes..... not to any lack of clarity on your part.
George Collins replied:
My dear associate your first results are sometimes your best, I embraised-it because I love how it made you feel, smile and move-on God is all about love. Chuck Collins Sincerely.

I am deeply moved and also impressed by this painting, Chuck. Moved because you so clearly conveyed the scene, situation, and feeling of the piece with artistic skill and passion, and impressed that you did that in a straightforward, non-romantic, non-sentimental way, with which maybe all such stories are best told. Child labour and slave labour are still happening all over the world, so the piece is not just a reflection of our human history, but also a call to look at our present treatment of each other. It's good to be introduced to your wondeful work.
George Collins replied:
Im moved indeed by these inspiring words of present past and future and when I did the sketch 6or 7 years ago I felt I neede to keep-it around and it started to get hard to keep-up with because of my paper collection and rolled-up old sketches so I painted-it, A Long Day and I can't believe the response I'm getting from you guys but I'm deeply touched. Sincerely thanks to you and Born to Create.

Wonderful painting, Chuck. I've had long days in the garden (only an acre) digging, clearing rocks, toting water by hand (no well yet), planting, weeding, etc. but nothing on this sort of scale. This is an amazing painting, and an important image that really brings home a different way of life, and a history that we have no excuse to forget or try to rationalize. Excellent. V F P W

Wonderful work Chuck, yes, I listen to my father's stories about picking cotton, 36 cents for 100 pounds. He will be 90 in October.
George Collins replied:
He's truly blessed and we all would love to be here that long and live to talk about-it.

Chuck, your painting is true classic - showing just hard working the field is. I can relate to this painting. V/F
George Collins replied:
Yea I try to show the intensity in the day and how beautiful the south was at that time or day.
