Description
Design 'A' for an original one sheet poster
for thee 1989 Underground Production of "B MOVIE"
Starring Brian Randall as the “Struggling Artist".
“B Movie” is an independent motion picture, that was filmed on multiple media formats, including Kodak Kodachrome 40 super 8mm film, 16mm, VHS, Betamax, and 3/4” videotape.
“B Movie” takes it’s viewers
on a surreal, and psychotronic journey.
It unfolds through a connecting series
of conceptual music videos.
Those music videos are set
to eight original Rock n' Roll songs
by "Father Buzz".
"Father Buzz" is Brian Randall's 1987 conceptual studio band, which produced the studio recording compilation,"Ward 5", to which the videos of
"B Movie" are scored.
The 'Coffee House Rock Opera Featurette'
was shot entirely in St. Petersburg, Florida,
in a "steps and stairs" shooting schedule,
which took place in 3 consecutive spring seasons,
from 1987, through 1989.
The forty-minute musical also stars
Tampa Bay area DJ Jon Filipe as "Bucky",
Multi Color House and Solo vocalist
Reina Collins, as "Bucky's Wife", and
Director Jonathan Morrill, as "The Death Quester".
Pinellas Park personality Mark Phillips appears as "The After-Dinner Spirit",
Sally Phillips appears s as'the after-Dinner Tart".
Marta Gutman (Reina Collins sister) is the
“The Dream Picnic Date".
The eight original songs are:
"Ten Cups" - (first introduced in 1987 on
“The Dr. Demento Show")
Used in the opening credits
of “B Movie".
"Last Chance Coffee House"
"Death Is Your Quest"
"I Wanna Dance"
"B Movie" (Title Track)
"Mere Words"
"She Was A Lady"
