This image was taken on the top floor of the Olson House in Cushing, Maine. It is where Andrew Wyeth painted many scenes including the iconic "Christina's World". The light that moves thru the house is absolutely mesmerizing if you stay there long enough to watch it. All the rooms are basically bare yet so full of energy. As I looked down the stairs I noticed how the warm yellowish light from the front of the house crossed paths in the bare plaster stairwell with the cooler grayish blue light from the third floor. The lighting scheme reminds me of the painting "Alvaro and Christina" which was done in the attached back shed. One a year I visit and simply sit there for hours in different rooms. I personally consider it the most beautiful house in Maine.

The first photograph I remember taking was on a 4th grade field trip to Augusta Maine. Long ago were the days of putting the 126 or 110 size cartridge of film in a bag, mailing it off to some magical place then waiting 2 weeks to get your prints back. Now- shoot it, dump it or keep it. Between then and now my photography has taken many twisted turns. High school brought the camera club. What an easy way to get out of study hall and classes and roam the halls taking pictures to end up in the yearbook. I was accepted at but did not attend Rhode Island School of Photography, foolishness at an early age. Started capturing weddings and portraits which got progressively larger for about 10 years.
