Description
This micro-photo of a Dogwood blossom at Easter recalled the myth I was told as a child of its four stained petals representing the wounds of Christ on the cross, and the gnarled shape of the trees being a curse because the cross was supposedly hewn from the wood of a Dogwood tree. I simply love the basic beauty and the simplicity of its shape.
